By default, and after a power outage, the unit won't oscillate. To turn it on look on your remote control unit. It looks like two triangles back to back. Press it once while the unit is on and filtering air. That should start it moving. You don't have to open the filter area to do this. You should verify that the filter cage is closed and tight since it might impact operations like oscillation. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Waiting for an answer on this question. I have the same situation. I purchased this item yesterday 6/5/25 and it does not oscillate. I called DYSON and they wanted me to ship it to them for repairs. I said I didn't spend $300 for a unit that needs repairs on day one. I will be taking this back to BB. If I replace it when I return it I will make sure it works/oscillate before I leave the store.
