Hi Sue, this is Kelly with Dyson. The V10 Animal has our high powered torque drive cleaner head, that has a suction control slider built-in to the front of the head. As it's an Animal model, it also includes the mini motorhead which is great at picking up pet hair from furniture, stairs and other hard-to-reach areas. The Animal Pro will come with those, plus the addition of the soft roller head. This floor tool was engineered for bare and hard floors where you would not want to use a spinning brush bar. Seemed like it was with the extra tools included not in the power specifications of the vacuum itself. But when I picked it up at Best Buy the V10 Animal Pro was in a bigger box. What does that actually mean who knows!!!!
