AW stands for Air Watts, which is calculated differently from watts. Watts calculate the input electric current, and Air Watts is directly correlated to the actual movement of air generated by the suction power. A standup Hoover, for example, generated around ~100AW on a 1600W model. So I imagine your 2000W Bosch generated ~150AW or somewhere around there. 65AW isn't bad for a portable, and frankly I have no problems using it on carpet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I own a Miele and it's as powerful as your Bosch. While the Dyson is powerful, it is not nearly as strong as our other machines. This is a good vacuum for quick pick ups and in between vacuums with the Miele and Bosch. I use for daily quick vacuums, detach the floor mechanism and use the handheld for my couch, bed, curtains and office. The Dyson wasn't designed to replace the much stronger machines we own. Hope this helps!
