So I was in the market for a vacuum. I have went through a couple Hoovers in my lifetime. I saw Dyson and was like whoa. The price tag was ridiculous. I saw this particular vac for $199 instead of $399 and decided to check it out. Read the reviews, liked what I saw, so I ordered it. Took about 2-3 days to get here, ahead of schedule. Saw the size of the box and was like, I made a mistake. It was small. Opened it up regardless and set it up. It is tiny. Plugged it in and then the magic happened. This cordless vacuum is POWERFUL. It lasts 8 min on the high speed and 20 on the low. For my house that's more than enough time. It picks up so much to include animal hair. It is fun to use, and I use it almost everyday because it picks up so much that my last full sized Hoover did not. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. The wall mount it comes with that holds the accessories and vacuum is awesome because it has the plug in it so all you do is snap the vac in their and its secure and charging. Literally one step to put it away and grab it for use. I see why Dyson is the leading brand and will only buy from them in the future.

This vac is all of the above: great - it's just neat to look at; little - you can keep the extension on or not and leave it hanging on the wall ready to go; expensive - I believe these were selling for over $300 retail but I got it on a Black Friday sale at $199 for the new model with the improved battery functionality. Vac - this thing is fun to use - a little heavy but if you angle it enough, it feels effortless. On thick pile carpet, you really have to angle it to get it to move - if too straight up and down with the unit, it'll suck in well and doesn't want to go sideways at all. When you don't have a "big" Dyson need, this really cleans up the competition.

This vacuum cleaner is perfect. We have laminate floors and a white dog who sheds. This little Dyson is so easy to use. Lightweight, no cord to mess with and it picks up all the hair and dust. I can vacuum all my rooms and the battery still has a charge. The attachments are handy and easy to use. I do not know how it would do on carpet.

This was my first Dyson, and I love it! I now understand why so many people recommend this brand. The battery life on this unit is good enough to vacuum 3 rooms and a hallway. I love the portability, and the light weight of the unit. It's long enough to reach the ceilings for a shorter person (5'2") and able to reach small corners also. The suction power on this is comparable to my previous, larger vacuum. One of the features I was unaware of until I opened the package was being able to slide off the brush to remove the hair that gets caught. This is a big plus for me since a lot of long hair gets accumulated on our carpets. The only con I can think of is having to remember to change the filter every once in awhile.

I am very happy with my new Dyson vacuum. It is light and extremely manuvrable. Works best on hard surfaces but does a very good job on carpets as well. The best feature I love is the dual function as a floor and hand vacuum - it easily snaps various extensions to acomodate different spaces. It saves me from having two separate vacuums. The only down side, as many mentioned before is the duration of the battery and it is a bit pricey, but if you wait for a sale you can get a more reasonable deal.

We purchased this to use primarily in the kitchen after meals. We have three small kids and as a result sweep the floor 2 -3 times per day in there. We were sweeping and then using another small hand vac to pick up but when the battery died (after just over a yr!) we began looking at options. We have a Dyson slim vac that we love and friends have one like this and they recommended it. We checked around and the price was preventing us from buying. Then we found it on a super sale at Best Buy. We have been very happy with the purchase. We now have a one step process to clean, no more bending over and no more sweeping first...much quicker as a result. We have also used it much more than we thought. Much easier and faster to use on our main floor to quickly hit the area rugs. It is also quick to get up all grass and such in the entry area off the garage from where the kids come in. Pro: - very light - maneuverable - powerful enough for its intended purpose - great storage, recharging station to have it stored out of the way Cons: - battery only last 20 min. Really this isnt that big a deal as you have to remember what it is designed for. Its not for full room duty. - the attachments that we have for our larger dyson do not fit and i find that curious as dyson is usually thinks things through well.

This little vacuum is a powerhouse. It keeps up the suction even after you need to empty it. It's best suited for hard floors, but it will clean carpets ok too. It is lightweight, and is a good length for maneuvering around furniture. It's very easy to empty, one button and a shake or rap against the trash and it empties out. My only complaint, and it's sort of a big one, is that it will not stand up on its own. It even has a problem leaning up against a wall or object, because the bottom usually slides out and the vacuum falls. It's pretty sturdy, as it's hit the ground a few times with no ill effects. It pretty much set up to use the included charging bracket for storage and charging, which it does well. Nice little vacuum!

A couple of friends owned one and raved about it so when I saw it on sale I thought I'd give it a spin and return it if it didn't work well. Best purchase I've made this year!!! The manual says it has a 22min charge which worried me but I can vacuum my home in 10minutes flat with this thing. It's small enough to store, attachments work great and it makes cleaning a joy and SAVES TIME. Time is money making this a true worthwhile investment.

Powerful vacuum for its size. Lightweight and easy to handle. Gets under furniture and other spaces where no other vacuum has gone before. I was pleasantly surprised at how much debris this vacuum picked up. The canister is easy to clean. I use it on my kitchen floor everyday. Only holds a charge for about 20 minutes and takes a while to recharge. I would recommend this vacuum for small jobs.

The unit is very lightweight which makes cleanings effortless even if you are holding it overhead. Suction is very good even on low setting & cleaning the unit and attachments is easy. Battery life could be better but then weight would increase and that would defeat the basic purpose of this device. Currently waiting on another sale to purchase more for Christmas presents.

I have a Dyson already but wanted something light and easy for the 1st floor hardwood floors & oriental rugs. This vac does the trick and stairs are much easier now. Beater bar works great on carpet. Best thing is that a full charge lasts only 20 minutes so you have to work against the clock to get it all done at once. What used to take me almost an hour now is done in 20 minutes.

You'll probably love the idea of this device...really cool design, quick to access, no cords to deal with...powerful suction...Unfortunately it still has a lot to be desired in terms of its functionality...after the first few weeks I had to take mine apart and clear a clog down by the cleaner head (almost returned it at that point)....the battery only lasts around 10minutes while on MAX suction which is a huge pain in the &$$...the wall mount is great accept I had to install an outlet beneath it to plug in the charger...we find that its far better on hard surfaces then it is carpet...ideal for someone with a lot of hardwood or tile....those issues aside and we love it...I think Dyson was more focused on design than they were functionality when they created this...I would not recommend this to be your primary vacuum...maybe just something for quick cleanup before guests arrive...I've been using it to cleanup around our bird cage and it 's AWESOME for that...good for when you start to see dust bunnies in between housekeeper visits...I wasn't sure to rate it a three or a four....guess I'm a sucker for design

I love this vaccum. It is very light and is the perfect size for small areas. I give it a 4 because the batery only last 20 mins. Other than that is a great vaccum to have. It does pick up everything from the floor. I bought it in cyber Monday 2014 and I haven't have any problems with it.

The suction is obviously not as good as a regular Dyson but still does the job. The pluses are it's very light and easy to use. You do need to have it plug in often to make sure you have enough power but great for small apartments or little jobs around the house.

The battery holds a charge long enough to finish my whole house. If I set the power to maximum it can only finish about 3/4 of my house. Easily picks up the dust and dirt on the floor. The adapters make it easy to get cobwebs up on the ceiling as well.

This vacuum is great. Super powerful and light for it's size. I say "dustbuster" because the battery life is pretty much the only downside. It last about 15-30 mins between charges, so you're not going to clean the entire house in one shot with this thing. It's perfect for quick clean-up, hard to reach spot and especially ceiling corners. My wife loves it and definitely recommends to others.

The small size and the fact that this vacuum is cordless make it very handy to quickly use compared to my larger corded vacuum. It picks up well & is nice to use with the different attachments. My only complaint is that it usually dies before I'm finished. I find that it works best on hard floors & very low carpet. I wouldn't recommend for plush carpet. I'm still using a larger vacuum in my carpeted areas, but this Dyson cleans my whole downstairs which is all hardwood with a few rugs. I also use it to reach the high spots and small nooks throughout the entire house.

I already have an upright Dyson that we love and wanted something near the dinner table to pick up crumbs from the kids after eating. Very svelte and easy to use. Good suction and light. My 5yr old and 2yr old argue over whose turn it is to use. Biggest downside is what I had already read on line... It struggles to pick up cereal or other similarly sized objects on hard wood floors as it just pushed debris around. Pretty disappointing from such an expensive product. Still, for those wanting to use it around the house for other things, it's a great product.

Very light and easy to maneuver, cordless is very convenient. However, the cleaning width is very narrow and not suited for larger spaces. Ditto on the dirt capacity. This would be great for an apartment or for a single room and I would recommend only to a friend who had a smaller space to clean. I bought this & a corded Shark stick - kept this Shark and returned the Dyson.

We purchased this as a gift to our Mom who is 83 yrs young. The Dyson portable is lightweight and yet very powerful. The components are easy to assemble.
