No you can't turn off the brush
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi CCB, It's Vince with Dyson. While you cannot deactivate the brush bar for the DC44, you can remove this specific part entirely from the power floor tool. We will be happy to provide additional assistance, as well as recommend appropriate accessories via email at [email protected]. Best wishes, Vince P.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The brush folds down (or up). I use the brush for the carpeted stairs to get into the crease and corners. The only part of my hardwood floors that I use this device on is where the carpet meets the wood or in corners. No scratches.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no brush, just an opening on the bottom. I would be careful using on hardwood floors because it doesn't have a protective film between the bottom of the vacuum and the floor. I use it on very thin carpeting without any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The bristles on the included rotating brush are super soft. I haven't noticed any scratching on my wood floor, but there is an attachment you can buy for the Dyson that doesn't have a rotating brush. The reviews for that attachment are mixed because it clogs up easily.
