  • QuestionHi, do these fans/purifiers blow cold air? like a mini A/C or just a fan? Thanks!

    • Answer Hello Vic, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson DP04 Pure Cool air purifier won't chill the air like an air conditioner unit will. Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan.     • Answer I made an extensive review about this, and I found that it cost 4 dollars more on your electric bill ( I dont remember more details) but its basically that price even if u keep using it 24 for hours the 30 days with the highest fan speed

  • QuestionMy apartment is 925sq ft, i know it covers 800sq ft, does it cover the entire space, or only the room its placed in?

However if you have an apartment that's slightly larger than the coverage area, if all the interior doors are left open, you should benefit from purification throughout your whole home space. The 360° sealed HEPA and activated charcoal filters are designed to remove gases and capture 99.97% of microscopic allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including bacteria, mold, odors from cooking, scented candles and car exhausts. With regard to viruses, specifically the Corona virus, Dyson purifiers are scientifically tested to capture particles as small as allergens and viruses, but we want to be clear that at this time, no purifier manufacturer—including Dyson—can speak to their products’ performance against the COVID-19 virus. As the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus outbreak are developing and ever-changing, nobody as yet knows with certainty how this virus behaves, so we recommend people follow guidance on COVID-19 virus prevention from the relevant local public health bodies.   • QuestionCan you turn the fan off and keep the air purifier on?

    • Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. In order for your machine to purify the air and expel that purified air into your room, the machine does need to be on. However, the DP04 does have a backward airflow feature, so you can have air directed out the back of the machine, if you want to purify your room air, but not necessarily feel the airflow on you.     • Answer Hello Tara, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson products are designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed.
