Hi Terry, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool air purifier will automatically removes 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns. This includes tobacco smoke, radon gas, dust, mold spores, pollen and allergens. With regard to viruses, such as Covid-19, Dyson purifiers are scientifically tested to capture particles as small as allergens and viruses, but we want to be clear that at this time, no purifier manufacturer—including Dyson—can speak to their products’ performance against the COVID-19 virus. As the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus outbreak are developing and ever-changing, nobody as yet knows with certainty how this virus behaves, so we recommend people follow guidance on COVID-19 virus prevention from the relevant local public health bodies.
