Hi there, Andi, this is Tia from Dyson. As it stands, there isn't an option to lock the cordless unit's trigger in the on position like a corded vacuum would function. Please be assured, we chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use.
