“May be a silly question, but is this unit parrot safe in meaning does it use any type of heated teflon that could be dangerous to the bird? Thanks!”

Hi Mike, this is Kelly with Dyson. Not a silly question at all; we hear this one often. The only Dyson product that does contain Teflon, is the Supersonic hair dryer. Our current Hot + Cool EC products (AM09, HP01, HP02, HP04) do not contain PTFE as part of the heating element. The PH01 Pure Humidify + Cool does not produce heat, so there would be no teflon or any danger to any type of pet. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

I believe it would be safe for any animal or child. Nothing is hot to the touch.
