No it only blows outward. However you can change the degrees of oscillation. You do not need it to blow down. It will cool down the room and remove the pollutants.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Dyson purifier/fans only blow straight outward: forward or backwards. The top rotates like an oscillating fan does so you can set the degree of oscillation (ex. 45, 90, 180 degree) They do not have the capability to blow upwards or downwards.

You will, however, get to enjoy the Backward Airflow Mode which diverts airflow through the back of the machine. To purify, without cooling you.
