A:AnswerHello Joseph, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson products, including the Supersonic hair dryer, are designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed.
However, we do not recommend using a converter, as the unit will not perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson product. Please be aware that use of your machine outside of the country which it was purchased may void your warranty.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerHello Paul,
This is Miella from Dyson. Dyson products are designed specifically for the countries they are sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed for 110-120v electricity. Our machines are not multi-voltage and we do not recommend using a converter with any of our products and such usage is not covered under warranty. We recommend leaving the Supersonic at home during your abroad travels.
Hope this helps!

A:AnswerHello there Sara,
This is Miella from Dyson. Dyson machines are made for use in the country they are sold in, machines manufactured for the United States are designed for 110-120v electricity. Our machines are not multi-voltage and we do not recommend using a converter with any of our products, as this will cause power issues and void the warranty. Each country has its own rules and regulations and we are unable to guarantee that a machine used outside of the country it is sold in meets all of the requirements of the country it is brought to, so we do not recommend traveling with our machines.
Hope this helps!

A:AnswerRead the post from MadEngineerMark and then have someone with a Torq screwdriver remove it and clean it thoroughly with an old toothbrush and liquid hand soap. Even letting the filter soak in a small glass of water with a little clothing washing machine liquid soap should loosen the debris in the filter. Bad design, very bad.

A:AnswerHi Fran, this is Kelly with Dyson. Great question regarding the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. Dyson machines are intended for use in the country where purchased; as they are not dual-voltage. While you could use an adaptor or converter, we do not recommend that, as it can cause your machine to overheat or malfunction.
Best wishes,

A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Great question; our Supersonic hair dryer is not dual-voltage; if purchased in the US, the unit would only be compatible with our electric here. We wouldn't recommend using an adaptor or converter, as this can cause damage to the machine.
Best wishes,
Kelly
