Hello Kai, this is Kelly with Dyson. Our cord-free machines do feature a run-time enhancing trigger, to make sure that battery power is only being used when/where you want it to be. You will need to keep the trigger held down, to power your machine. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a button on the back to change settings. You do not have to hold that one when using it. You do however have to hold the trigger the entire time you vacuum.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely not! You just press the button to switch between the 3 levels of suction. Eco, Auto, Boost. The screen will show you how much time you have left on each mode. I personally leave it on BOOST because I have a gig and I like the feeling of a deep clean. But you can just leave it on Auto and the vacuum will adjust. This is literally the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. The day after “professional carpet cleaners” came to my house I bought the vacuum and after one pass I was already picking up dirt. Don’t think about it just get this Dyson V11 Outsize because is a game changer.
