• yes, it works on hardwood floors. The end is not as nice for larger particles as the soft roller, but as long as you are not getting large pieces it is awesome. I absolutely love the vacuum. I have 2700sqf of laminate and hardwood. the larger head makes cleaning faster and the two batteries are awesome. I hope they come out with a larger soft roller head. with that the it would be perfect.

• Yes, all of Dyson’s vacuums works well on both hard and carpeted surfaces. This vacuum (Dyson v11 outsize) automatically adjusts its suction strength based on the type of flooring it senses (hard or carpeted).

• Yes, any of the cordless Dyson stick vacs work tremendously well on wood flooring and on carpet; I won't go back back to corded models anymore!
