I don't have the corded version you mentioned, but the V11 Torque is really powerful. It picked up an unbelievable amount of dirt from a carpet we had just vacuumed the day before with our other corded machine.

The Dyson Animal upright features 270 air watts of suction power. If you have thicker or more plush carpeting in your home, the corded upright machine is very likely going to have too much suction for your carpeting, and you may find that it's difficult to push.
