• Hello Dennis, this is Kelly with Dyson. The spinning brush bar on the Dyson V11 Torque Drive cord-free cannot be turned off. The only machines we carry where you can shut off the brush bar completely, would be our upright models. The V11, however, does have three adjustable suction modes, as well as an adjustable suction slider right on the front of the cleaner head. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
