Yes, the button or trigger needs to be held in, but it's really not that big of a deal. I think it's good because you only get about 20 minutes of battery life and you can easily turn off when moving locations to save battery. The trigger is really sensitive too so you barely think you are holding the button in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Wohlf, It's Vince with Dyson. The Dyson V6 has been redesigned with a touch sensitive trigger. This unit also distributes the weight of the unit evenly so as to not put a strain while cleaning. We will be happy to provide additional information regarding the V6 via email at [email protected]. Best wishes, Vince.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. There is a trigger you have to hold to make it run. The turbo button can be pressed once, then it stays in that mode until pressed again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree with CaChank. Yes, you need to hold the trigger down when in use, but the vacuum is so lightweight that it is not the least bit inconvenient. Just start and stop very easily in the course of changing locations. I also believe it saves a bit of the battery life.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you do have to hold the trigger down. It's not inconvenient to do so, and it helps preserve the charge. My 7 and 8 year old kids can use this vacuum.
