I have the same issue with the V7. My filters haven't had the chance to get dirty. In fact, the filters are still bright white. Do I attempt to return it to the store or attempt to contact Dyson per the email that a Dyson rep posted? Battery issues seem to be an ongoing issue with more than one model. Hopefully, this is resolved easily and painlessly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same issue with a v6 I have had less than a year and probably has less than 2 hours of actual use. I tried calling Dyson, but they kept me on hold for an hour and then hung up without ever coming to the line.

This filter pulls out the top, and can be separated into two parts at the snap-ring at the top. The cloth piece can then be rinsed out under a faucet using mild soap and water, rinsed thoroughly, and left to dry before reassembling and reinserting in the vacuum. I have found I need to do this after about every 10 to 12 use of the vacuum. Additionally, I find I need to completely empty the vacuum's holding canister of dirt, hair and other debris.
