“Is there a electric motor in the power head or just a vacuum motor?”

• It has a vacuum motor only. Air drives the power head. Works great though

• Yes, there is a rotating brush in the head which is motorized. Does a great job on area rugs, so long as you stand on one end of the rug and push away from you, that is.
