No, it would only turn on the 1 (Main House) Furance. Put 1 sensor in the ‘other’ heat pump Furance room, and IF it’s getting colder there, compared to the Main House, the Main Furance would kick on!

I have 2 of these up and running and love them. I know they can handle a heat pump- but I do not know about your situation.Good luck
