“What is the range of the sensors meaning how far away can they be place from the main ecobee thermostat before they lose contact. We have a large house so I'm concerned that some of the rooms that are far from the thermostat will not connect”

Our main thermostat is downstairs and the sensors are upstairs to better balance everything out. We have a 3000 square foot house.
