“I have an Ecobee Smart Thermostat PREMIUM. Do I need to have a subscription for these sensors to work? I am interested in getting alerts but if that is not included without a subscription, would I still get a chime when a door or window is opened?”

Getting instant alerts when doors and windows are opened does require a Smart Security subscription, but you get a 2-month free trial to test it out. Chime when open is a free feature.
