Q: QuestionI have an Ecobee Smart Thermostat PREMIUM. Do I need to have a subscription for these sensors to work? I am interested in getting alerts but if that is not included without a subscription, would I still get a chime when a door or window is opened?

Q: Questionif i install the sensors and opt not to get the subsc. Can I still log in with my app and learn if a door is left open (and then turn - off the thermo manually) is there an alert w/out subsc that will alert me if a door is left open for extended time?

Without a subscription, you do not receive automatic alerts or automatic thermostat adjustments when a door or window is left open. The Smart Security subscription is required for features like: Alerts when a door or window is left open. Automatically pausing the HVAC system when a door or window is open for an extended time.

Q: QuestionI'm worn out with subscriptions and don't want a subscription. I want sensors that will sound off when the door is open, and can be enabled/disabled via app. Is that possible with these without a subscription?
