Q: I can't see the button, Behind headboard" and I had to reset everything last night I lost all sensors, do I need to hit a button on the panic alarm to set it up?

A: When your system is in Pairing Mode (through the Devices section of your Keypad Menu), you want to press the Panic button for 2 seconds. When you hear the system verbally acknowledge, you'll know you added the component successfully.

Q: Do I need a SimpliSafe System for this button, or do I just need the button? I don't have a system, but I want a Panic Button somewhere in my house, but don't want to pay for a SimpliSafe system. Will it still work without being connected the internet???

A: You need a SimpliSafe System for the panic button to work, but you do not need a subscription plan. Without a subscription, the system would alert and make noise, but nobody will be notified. The button was smaller than expected.

    peace of mind

    I added this to my system in about less than 5 minutes. The longest part was drilling 2 holes in the wall by my wifes bedside. It's easy to add the device from the keypad. You just go to device settings, add device, press the button on your panic button, and then the tower will say panic button added. I feel much better knowing my wife, or me will have the option of just punching that button if we have to in the middle of the night to scare an intruder away, and call the police. This is easy. It's not so easy to have your wits about you when you wake up from deep sleep. I don't want to have to try and find my keyfob, or log in to the app. My wife just hits the button on the wall, and bam! the alarm is blaring and scaring away (hopefully) whoever decided to break in to our home.
