Dear Kia, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Please rest assured that the robot will stop charging itself once the battery is charged up even when it's plugged in the whole time. If you have to travel and will not be home for quite some time, then it's recommended to power off the robot and unplug the station before leaving. Best Regards, ECOVACS Customer Care
