For homes that contain a large number of rugs or thick carpets, we do not recommend the N79SE. For optimal performance, the N79SE is best used on hardwood and tiles floors, or on light colored thin, low-pile carpets.

It can navigate on and off carpet. Because the canister is small you'll have to empty it more frequently.

No, it got caught in my rug and I had to cut through the yarn, it almost ruined the vacuum.

I don't recommend it because the Vacuum will get tangled on the strands.
