• It has to map your entire area first and then you can set limits in the app (currently not available in the Google Play Store). It does use smart navigation.

• Yes, you can have it clean one room or more if you'd like. The vacuum cleans in a back and forth pattern, not randomly.

• Yes, it will do a small area that you mark with the phone app. It puts a nice pattern of parallel vacuum marks in your carpet, it's very smart!
