• Website and instructions only call for water use, I wish they would elaborate more as one would thing that using solvents would only help mop.

• The company says it is. I have ceramic and luxury vinyl that looks like wood. The brush roller is very soft and can be removed. The side brushes direct the dirt in and are also not heavy type which would cause scratches. No solution is used. Just plain water.
