A:AnswerYes, you need Internet service in your house for this, or for any, home wifi system to operate. Best Buy cannot give you a price on your monthly local Internet Service Provider. That's between you and your ISP.
A:Answerit's not all the router's fault -- the PS4 has a notoriously horrible wifi chip that gets subpar speeds no matter what, unless its right by the router, basically.
my laptop and ps4 are in the same room, and my laptop is consistently 3x as fast on the same wifi, and the devices are within 10 ft of each other. i used to get 15mbps on the ps4, and with the eero, I get like 50+ and I actually think it's awesome.
A:AnswerYes, it should work fine. The way it works is one eero will hardwire into the internet/modem/router via an ethernet cable and create a wireless network. Other eero can connect to the head/gateway eero (either wired or wirelessly) and will broadcast the same wireless network, extending the range for your devices.
A:AnswerYep! We have 3 Ring cameras (doorbell and two wireless floodlights). The one above the driveway (opposite end of the house from the router) never worked properly until we got the Eero.
