- Answer You still need to connect to a cable modem from your ISP. But each of the eero units has a pair of cat 5 Ethernet ports for hardwire connections.

- Answer You can not hang these from the unit itself - they sell holders specific to the eero version you purchase which keeps the cord contained and flush with the wall you plug it into. We bought our holders on Amazon.

- Answer You can use previous generations with these newer Eero 6 mesh routers. I would recommend replacing the first Eero router connected to your internet service provider with a Eero 6 and then spread satellites out using the newer ones first and then the previous generation next. You will see a major improvement!

- Answer Don’t put any router or WiFi equipment outside. The best solution is to place the Eero satellite unit (one of the 3 routers) near a window, but not in direct sunlight. You should be able to get a strong signal from 500 feet away.

- Answer That’s a stretch….depending on wall/concrete thicknesses? Maybe, when your on the third floor, are you able to see the Wi-Fi signal from the fifth floor or vice versa with your current Wi-Fi setup? How strong is your Wi-Fi signal? If your able to connect with your existing Wi-Fi from either floors, then maybe the Eero Pro 6 can help with this scenarios, but no guarantees.

- Answer According to Eero website, 1 Eero Pro 6 can cover up to 2000 sq ft, depending on your home style (ranch,duplex,age, etc) you may be fine with 1 Eero Pro 6. My house is about 2500 sq ft, and I’m fine with 1 Eero Pro 6set up in the middle hall way on the second floor. You do save about $50-60, if you buy the 2 pack vs the single pack, especially if you find yourself needing another Eero pro 6 later, then the 2 pack makes sense. You don’t have to use both units upfront if you don’t need it. But if you do, you already have it. Just a thought.

- Answer The higher humidity from an indoor pool should not bother this unit since it does run fairly warm, as long as there is no direct contact with water, A better approach might be to locate the Eero a distance from the pool and use a Beacon to increase the signal.

- Answer You can add an Eero Pro 6, but not all of your devices would connect to it to take advantage of the WiFi 6. Only devices connected to it would have WiFi 6, so I would just upgrade to all WiFi 6

- Answer no, like a chain you are only as fast as your slowest link unless of course you have a 10gb backchannel and 10gb switch, but even then Eero pro is only gonna give you 1Gb and only via the 2 ports on the unit

- Answer This depends on a ton of factors, including what's in your walls, when your house was built and if there is any other interference. I would generally say it SHOULD work, because we got almost whole home coverage (1900sqft) with one node, and the second one just made it that much better. Again, no one could answer this, but if you only want one node, you can get a much less expensive WiFi router that isn't "mesh" because you only need one node. Just food for thought.

- Answer This system uses a dedicated 5 gigabit per second wireless link between the base unit and the remote units (different than the 5G WiFi band). So no Ethernet cable is required between your base unit and the remote units.
