You must hire a licensed electrician to install a 220 volt plug. The personnel who deliver the range cannot hook up or hard wire the range. They just drop the range and leave. All they are trained to do us PLUG the range in. If there is no plug, they must leave and you need to reschedule your appointment for them to PLUG it in. After purchase, there is no way to alert Best Buy that your old range is hard wired. I would have had the electrician come before the delivery had I known.

If you do not have the outlet installed ahead have time, the so called Installers will drop your range off in your garage and leave.

To get the electric stove top we wanted switching from gas we had to pay the electrician 800.00 to run higher voltage from the breaker box to the kitchen for a hardwired connection.
