A:Answer Yes! I was leary about this small vacuum being capable of doing what my old tank vac did. It works great on hard floors (I have hardwood and linoleum) and all types of carpeting....area, wall to wall and throw rugs. You just need to change the carpet adjustment on the powerhead for each different use. I'm really liking this vac. The attachment for hard floors is kinda noisy on the floor as the rollers are hard instead of rubber or all brushes, but it cleans very well. It's also quieter than my previous vac and an upright that I purchased and returned.
