“I have a pg279q with display port 1.2 and HDMI 1.4. I want to game at 1440p @144Hz but would need to use the display port to game at those settings and would be locked at 1440p 60Hz with HDMI 1.4. Can I capture my monitor with the HDMI without passthrough”

If you put in just the HDMI in, and nothing out, the video or whatever you have on the "in" would still show on the Elgato Utility
