Hi there, thanks for reaching out! The charging coasters are interchangeable and laterally compatible to each mug. Both charging coasters use the same charging technology so you can charge the Ceramic Mug (both the 10 oz and 14 oz) on the Travel Mug coaster and vice versa!

I found the new coaster's charge area side walls to be a shade tighter, which makes it a near exact fit for that Ember mug, It charges the mug as expected. Besides holding the charging area the same, the new coaster's overall dimensions have reduced and it is a touch lighter weight.
