Not an answer only a guess...it doesn't take much to dull stainless steel as in anything other than a cloth/paper towel cleaning it. Is it possible you cooked an acidic meal/stewed tomatoes/etc. as that will dull stainless also. I've never used mine over 1 hour cooking time...possibly 2 hours of baking might dull.? I've had mine about a month also....still looks new inside. I've not used the metal pan so have no clue in discoloration...maybe heat related as well? Cheap pizza pans do that over time are typical here.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I was disappointed because I thought I ordered a Emeril. I have figured out how to cook a few things. Also, I did not realize it made a lot of noise. The reason I did not returned it because I could not figure the store would not take it back because of th coloration indicating usage. I keeped it. I looked to see if I can order dark pans with system on how much you have to scrub it.
