“compatible Is the PDP - Afterglow AP.2 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 3 - Blue/Red/Green compatible with this charging system? I purchased both of these and we can not connect the controller to that usb in order to charge. Not wanting to force it on there incase it was to pop.”

The afterglow controller is too wide for the charging slot. This device was designed specially for the name brand Sony dual shock 3 wireless controller, not 3rd party brands.
