“Just bought this yesterday. I will be using this for DAW based recording. Will the HDD be able to handl this? As well, what clock speed is the CPU able to reach with turbo boost? I guess my general question is....would this be a good platform for DAW?”

This computer would work excellently for your audio workstation. The CPU is capable of up to 4GHz turbo boost.
