If your primary focus for a computer is gaming, then you really ought to seriously look at getting a "gaming" computer, from either the major computer makers (HP, Dell and Lenovo, among other), or consider building a computer with off-the-shelf custom, hi-performance parts. That way you can get a premium motherboard designed for gaming, an appropriate video card, RAM, hard drive, etc, all to needs and specifications, the way many serious gamers do.

The processor and ram on the other hand are what you need for "decent to good" gaming. If this PC had a better video card it would be a great gaming computer. This unit is more tailored for using multiple programs, listening to music, streaming videos at the same time without a hitch. When I look at computers for gaming I look at 3 key specs for a good gaming computer. First, you need a good video card. The video card determines how good the graphics will be. You can have an amazing processor and a large RAM cap, but if your Video Card is lacking you won’t get the top-quality graphics out of gaming. 2nd and 3rd are your Processor and RAM. The Intel i7s usually have the better processors with higher speed. (3.0 or higher). This is another must for good gaming graphics, just as is having a larger RAM capacity. 16 GB Ram is a good starting point, but get a computer that you can upgrade the RAM later down the road. I hope this helps you in deciding a computer. Have a good Day!
