“Will this work in black-and-white mode if the color tanks are empty? Looking to buy this for my business but don’t really need color print. It would be nice to use sometimes, however. But I don’t want to have to buy color tanks if I don’t need them”

Hi Carrie, You can continue printing using black ink once the color ink has been expended, but we recommend replacing the color ink as soon as possible to avoid damage to the print heads. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
