Yes it prints 2 sided. Most standard sizes can be double side printed as long as the paper width doesn't exceed 8.5". Not sure what your question is on the speed of double sided printing. The printing is not "slow", and the quality is still excellent. I believe if the settings are changed to a higher quality the printing does slow somewhat, but I have not experimented enough to tell you how much it might slow.
