Hi Robert, The EcoTank ET-5150 has a more capable scanner than the ET-4850. Using the flatbed. the maximum resolution of the ET-5150 is 1200 x 3200 dpi, maximum for the ET-4850 is 1200 x 2400 dpi. The ET-5150's auto document feeder holds 35 sheets, the ET-4850's auto document feeder holds 30 sheets. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
