Hello Alonzo. The XP-4200 is designed to work on a home Wi-Fi router using a 2.4 GHz band. If the Wi-Fi router you are using is a 5 GHz router, then you want to ensure that it is a dual-band router and the printer connects to the 2.4 GHz band. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it is not. You can connect the printer to the 2.4ghz band if the router is set to dual band, but the device you are printing from must also be connected to the 2.4ghz band. If your laptop (or other device) is on the 5ghz band the printer will not print.

If your router uses a single network name (SSID) for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, give each band its own network name (SSID) instead, such as Home Network 2.4 GHz and Home Network 5 GHz. See your router documentation for instructions. I would say the printer uses the 2.4Ghz connection. The guide says to make sure the router is setup for dual band.
