• A:Answer When setting up this printer it had settings for making custom business cards, so I would say so, but I have not done this myself. There are settings for ink usage and paper size and thickness, also print color or black and white.

Q: QuestionWill it print in black if another color is empty

• A:Answer No, ink has a system that measures to replace cartridge before it runs out. System warns you it's low, if not replaced before it says empty, the printer will not work until that cartridge is replaced, even if you only want black print. This is so the system does not go through the priming ink heads again which uses a lot of ink. It must use about 1/2 of the starter cartridges to complete the initial setting of the print heads alignment and priming. The only color with double fill ink is the black color, but I think it still uses a small amount of color ink when only printing black and white.

• A:Answer Any computer can be configured with the XP4200. You must have internet and download Epson.com for your printer and follow on screen prompts to configure a program to work together first. Don't plug in cable till told to do so I set up to use the USB printer cable plug on one end and printer plug on other end of the cable. printer has on LCD screen to follow directions, this has to be done before you plug in the computer. Then your computer can be plugged in and download the proper app that runs your system together. This way it's able to use a wider range of systems that are older, like mine, from 2007, still works great together. This system from Epson will not have the book printed or CD for set up. I was told when I bought the unit this is because it can configure to more systems this way.

Q: QuestionWe don't print that much, and every printer we have had uses liquid ink. the ink dries up and clogs and we waste $$$ and can't print when we suddenly need it. isn't there a printer that will print, and copy in black n white WITHOUT using ink?????
