There is a blue button on the top front of the cartridge. Press that button and the cartridge releases for you to pull it out. After it reeases, catch it by the front and back and lift.

if you go to your on-screen menu if it not already prompting you to change cartridge; go to maintenance, then ink cartridge replacement, then press start button when prompted. Then lift top and there should be a little button, may be blue in front of where you see cartridge, press it down and the cartridge should release. Then when you replace cartridge, the top you tilt in first then bottom part and it should click in.

Go to the menu to select change ink cartridges. This will cause the print head assembly to move to the left to the space where you can change them. Firmly push down on the lever at the end of the ink cartridge closest to you. Lift out the ink cartridge. Reverse order to install.
