Yes. The FF-640 comes with a clear 8x10" protective pocket for use with delicate clippings, etc. - and there is a switch on the front of the scanner that can be set for use with this pocket to allow for the extra thickness.

Please try again later.The FF-640 comes with a plastic protection sheet (8x11" in size) and there is a flip switch on the front of the scanner that separates the scan heads by that extra millimeter (or whatever) - the idea beaing that someething delicate or oddly shaped can be put into this protection sheet and scanned in that manner.
