• I can do docs into a PDF if you want by using one of the downloaded programs.

• Yes, but if you want it just for documents there are much less expensive scanners available.

• I'm not a techy so I don't know what OCR is, but it does scan documents as well as photos.

• I scanned 100 blue apron recipes and converted them into PDF's. They were in color not gray.
