ProjectorCentral.com has a projector calculator to figure out throw distance for every projector on the market. I have my projector about 10 feet from the wall and our screen is 96" diagonal.

The epson 2045 has a throw ratio of 1.22-1.47 using the formula: throw ratio = distance from projector lens to screen ÷ screen width (not diagnol). Your throw would be about 1.66 which would be above the epson 2045 throw ratio. You would have to either adjust the distance or use a diffrent screen to get the picture to fit correctly on the screen using the 2045. However, this projector does use 16:9 format.
