The 5050UB has much better contrast/blacks. However, you must have a light controlled treated room to properly take advantage of the better black levels. If you don’t or can’t treat your room... in other words, if your room has white walls and ceilings, then get the 4010. If you do have darker walls and ceilings, then get the 5050UB because your room can take advantage of the better contrast and darker blacks. Aside from that, they’re virtually identical in color, lens, and features. The 5050 can do 4K60hz HDR, whereas the 4010 can only do 4K24hz HDR. That mostly applies to gaming.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have both. The 5050ub is the clear winner. Better blacks and more details. The 4010 is also a great choice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In truth you'd be hard pressed to definitely discern the difference in black levels. Especially after the recent HDR and other firmware engagements. I have a 4000 and have never seen blacks crushed or other visible anomalies. When the auto iris is functioning correctly the difference is even less so.
