• This Projector is huge, it weighs 26 pounds. Honestly a smaller DLP unit would be better for travel use. But again it depends on the screen size, light desired and how much is to much for you to carry around. I would not carry this hulk around, but it is bright and can throw a large screen so it's up to you.

• what if you are displaying it in your own front yard and don't really need a case and the weight isn't a factor? Does it have amazing outdoor video quality?

• It does not come with a case,it is also a large projector.It could be done ,but may not be the best idea! It is a great projector though!
