My table is about 21" so combined with the height of the projector (6.14") it is the max you can project on a standard 8' wall. Meaning if it the table is any higher than 21" the image will not project perfectly. To answer your question, if you have a 16" table, you should be able to install the screen on an 8' wall with up to 5" of space from the top of the screen to the ceiling. If you change the table to an 14" height, you'll just need to adjust the height of the projector on the side closer to the wall. There is a nob underneath that can be adjusted. You might also have to move the table closer to the wall. If you increase the height to 18" then you'll need to raise the front height of the projector and/or move the table farther away from the wall
