• AA battery versus built-in rechargeable is a plus! One can buy rechargeable AA batteries and keep a fresh set or two handy. Also, these are replaceable. The built-in rechargeable battery is not. Unless the instruction manual says specifically not to use them, that is my plan.

• Yes but takes 4 AA batteries. Batteries die within 100 4x6 pictures. A power cord is an additional 24.99!
